MPG, first time it stopped at 86%, so I tried again and it stopped encoding at exactly the same place in the movie. Any ideas? I'm new to this so any input is helpful. Thanks

First thing is to check for junk frames. Load the .avi into Virtual Dub. Select Video-->Scan video stream for errors. Then we will go from there.
