  2. hi ,

i have the same problem right now, i have my mpeg video and AC3 audio and chapters all ready to go in Maestro, all i need are these damn subtitles from the DVD, they are english subtitles in the actual movie translating some south american dood (Clear and present Danger) so they are important to watching the damn flick.

I have loaded and played with Subrip but it scans my VIDEO_TS folder up to 230% (???) and comes up with NADA. The new version is meant to save straight to a maestro file that can be imported....the guides for subrip ive found are as confusing as hell. Anyone care to shed a light on this process?

    many thanks,
    blackout.

after trying for weeks and failing (using every method I could understand) I am now capturing s-video to my HD at 15mbps mpeg2 and reencoding with tmpegenc. the quality is *near* dvd quality, but because it is SOOOO easy I don't care about the tiny loss in quality.

  4. what i dont understand is that i try and rip only the subtitle files in DVD decryptor, and deselect the video file and audio files, yet when i hit rip, DVD Decryptor starts ripping a 7 gig file...ie the full movie.

Subrip 1.033 seems to scan a fully ripped vob to 251% and crash/freeze....is that also what you get?

    regards,
