    ok, here's my problem...
i just got a new computer and i just got a new DVD player. the computer is a new dell 8200 dimension and my dvd is the highly praised mintek dvd-1600, i bought this from best buy cuz it was relatively cheap and everyone that reviewed it said it's great for playing VCD's. anyway, i used to burn vcd's on my other computer and play them on a panasonic dvd player, so i've done it before...but here's my problem...
i tried burning a few vcd's with nero, vcdeasy and roxio easy cd creator 5.0...the only ones that have been working for me are the ones from roxio. i put .avi's through tmpgenc and then burn them with those programs. the problem though is, when i go to play them in my dvd player, it's not a continuous movie stream, it pauses every 5 seconds or so so that all i see is a few still frames throughout the movie. I brought these vcd's down the hall (these are the ones made with roxio by the way cuz the other ones wont even play, but then again, im not that familiar with the other programs) i brought them down the hall to my friend ryan's room who has an old APEX 1100 (i think is the model) dvd player, and the same vcd's will play right through, so i cant figure this out. is it my player? or should i be burning them different? this is really upsetting cuz i like this dvd player too...any help would be GREATLY appreciated, thanks guys...
