  1. Ive got a new Compaq Ipaq and have got a Divx player and a MPEG1 player which runs on the pocket pC

    But the movie files are to large, it will only hold 64mb does any one have any sugestions on how to re-encode my Divx or VCD's to be smaller in file size.

    Ive tried using TmpGEnc reducuing the size t0 160x120 lowering the bit rate and the audo but they are still to huge, and i cant find any where how to edit Divx files??

    can any one HELP

  2. Converting a 700mb divx to 64mb is possible, but the quality would so bad that it would be practically unwatchable....

    Load into Vdub

    Video > full processing mode
    Video > compression > Select a codec > change bit rate for smaller size

    Audio > full processing mode
    Audio > compression > select codec > change bitrate for smaller size

    Video > filter > Add > resize > adjust size

    SAVE AVI

    If you have any borders, add a crop filter first (Null transform) and remove them

    I'm going to do it...take the smallest movie I got ..Payback...709,776kb and try to getit down to 1/10 the size and see what it looks like...Just think, if its good...I can fit 10 movies on each VCD... yea..right
