    i am gonna start bringing my laptop to work and doing some converting.... i have a compaq athlon 4/1.2gz wit 256 or ram...... is that ok or is laptops not a good idea for converting video??????

    It will be fine, just make sure you make a space between the table and the laptop and run a fan underneith so it will keep the bottom cool

    are u playin or serious ??????? do i have to run a fan for real..... have u tried it b4.....?????? i do have a fan at work i can point at it while its converting

    Today's mobile processors can run without an external fan just fine. The heat generated from running the processor at 100% is really not what they were designed for, however. Heat shortens the life of your chips significantly.
