hrmmm... a quick question...
i have a 256meg memory stick lying around... and i have this old computer that has slots that take a max of 128megs each....
so... i was just wondering what would happen if i put that stick in... ^^;;
i'd be happy if the mobo sees and uses only 128 megs of the stick... but also don't wanna screw the computer up by actually putting it in before someone knows anything about this... :P
thanks!! ^_^

It might work the way you want, thats what my moms computer did... or it might not. But its unlikely that the stick itself will damage anything, its worth a try.

Sometimes you miss a slot then put it on the next, your Motherboard manual should tell you what works. If it says 128Mb Max, then its not going to work..
0 = 128
1 = 128
or
0 = empty
1 = 256
They should be the same speed, type to work
