please go steady as im fairly new to this!!
ive been trying to rip dvd to vcd and have been succesful, but the sound quality on the vcd is not as good/loud as on the dvd. is their any way or programme i can use to improve the sound
the programmes i use are :- smartripper, dvd2avi, tmpgen

try making SVCD, the quality is excellent. Th only problem is you fit less on each CD so some movies may require 3 cds!
i use DVD2SVCD, very simple to use oncle you set it up basically only two button presses and 6-7 hours later the image files are ready to burn.
