It seems that the SVCD's that I make from mpegs in Nero 5.5 load very slow in the Daewoo 5800. The machine makes a bit of noise as it trys to access the disk. It finally will play after 30 seconds or so. Does anybody else see this with the 5800? I just got this from 220 volt appliances and like somebody else said it is a bad dealer. I can't take it back etc.. Hope I don't have a bad unit. It seems to load other SVCD's that I burned from bin cue images much quicker. I am thinking it has a trouble loading Nero disk structure.
One good thing it does play my VBR disks good now where my Pioneer DV440 would freeze up at times and then catch up to audio etc... Pioneer has a little better picture and sound but the Daewoo I will agree is better build then the Apex. Just worried about that long access time. Hope I don't have a loader going out already.

Well the problem got worse and would not load SVCD at all with the 5800. Bought it at 220appliances.com and they normally don't exchange or return. They did agreed to exchange it. Wish I went to Sams club with this one.
