Hello pals,
My operating system is Wini XP and I have about 10GB partition, NTFS, dedicated to capturing. Capturing movies with VirtualDub, using PicVideo codec, via ATI AIW 7200, when capturing in one file, it stops at 2 GB. Spliting the capture into few files, when connecting the fractions later on with VirtualDub, sync is lost between fractions.
Is it possible to capture 1 file larger than 2 GB?
When a movie is captured into few files, how can sync be maintained along all parts?
Thanks.

I`d try using IUvcr, its not to difficult to find on the web, and records in any resolution, in any codec for both audio and video.
I recorded a film directly off sky with it lastnight and it worked like a charm. -

Hello pal,
[quote="tuco1979I don't have a AIW but vdub can capture beyond 2 gigs using ntfs. I would double check in vdub settings to make sure that you don't have any time/file size setting that tells vdub to stop. Oh, what drivers are you using for your card? Vfw or WDM?[/quote]
I Don't know which drivers I use - it's an update from ATI labeled: "wxp-radeon-6-13-10-6071-efg.exe". How can I tell? What difference does it make? What options in VDub should I look at to see whether it's limited?
