Divx to Svcd resolution question...

sup fellas, i have some divx files that look pixelated and junky in some parts when they are full screen, so i was wondering this: could i change the resolution of my output .mpg so that it could be a bit smaller, for quality sakes? i don't mind having a smaller movie on my tele, i just wanna see if it'll look better than my current divx conversions full screen.

Are you using Full screen or Full screen > keep aspect ratio, the movie will be stretched if you make the mpeg full screen.

i've been using Full Screen (keep aspect ratio).
would center do what i am wanting to do?
i would like to keep it in widescreen format, just make some black borders on the side so that the quality would be better.

You need to experiment, as the source type will influence the output. If the quality is that bad your not going to achieve much.
