  1. Guys
I've got some SVCD files that I'd like to burn to CD. They're around 800MB so ZIPping them is out. I need to compress using DivX or some such. Trouble is: VirtualDub refuses to open them, giving me the following error message:

MPEG Import Filter: pack synchronization error

    What can I do?
    Tx a bunch in advance!!
    D.
PS I use Roxio Easy CD Creator

    don't use roxio--it sucks!
a 80 minute (700MB) CD can hold a little over 800 MB of SVCD because it's written in mode 2.
I would either get Nero, or try using VCDeasy to make an image of your SVCD, mount the image with daemontools, and do cd copy
what are you askin' me for...
    I'm an idiot!

I often burn 800+ (max. 830mb) svcd streams. Your burner must be overburn compatible and burning more than 81.40 seconds WILL give problems.
