Has anybody used them? I've heard there are new CDs now that can be burned on both sides(and apparently cost about $5 each...Ouch!), like double sided DVD disks(which cost about $15..triple Ouch!).
But I'm curious if anyone has tried them.
And does it take special burners to do that(both DVDs and CDs)?
anybody know?

Do you have a link to any info on this because its kinda hard to believe? As far as I know these dual sided cdrs are only a rumor.

it appears I read the add wrong on the $5 disc.
and the double disc is double density, (not double sided as I'd thought I'd read) about to be launched by Sony. Regular CD player and burners won't be able to use them.
sorry, I guess I jumped the gun.
but there are double sided DVD disc, right?(or have I got that wrong too?) -
Yes, there are double sided DVD-R disks. They usually run about 2.2 times the cost of a comparable single sided DVD-R.
