Can anyone help me?
I am new to video editing and have Adobe Premiere 6.0 on a 2.4GHz , 120GB PC. I wish to a produce a completed video (with effects) on my timeline view and then export it onto a DVD in MPEG2 format.
My problem is that I wish to be able to calculate the exact length of my AVI footage (with effects) PRIOR to rendering as this process takes 2hours for an hour long MPEG file and I find out then that I have an 8Gb file which does not fit on to a DVD.
So my question is - does anyone know of a simple way to predict the evntual MPEG2 file size of a length of AVI footage BEFORE it is rendered? Adobe cannot answer this themselves, but there must be some bright bod out there who does know!
