  1. How is it possible that my image was 700MB and now when I checked the burned CD it is only 600MB? Also, when I open it and go to the MPEG2 folder, it shows that the file is 704MB? My CDR is only 700MB!
I will really appreciate to know why it does that.
    Thanks.

Bin images are typically larger than the amount of data that actually gets written to the disk. I don't know why but apparantly there is extra info there used during burning.

The mpeg2 file is 704MB's but your CDR does not just hold 700MB's. If you look at the cdr it should say 700MB's/80 mins. If burnt in mode 1 (data cds) the disk will hold 700MB's. If burnt in mode 2 (svcds and vcds) you can fit 80 mins of vcd playtime which translates to about 800MB's of space. This is because mode 2 doesnt use conventional error checking like mode 1 does so that extra space can be used for data.

As for the reported size of the disk...I'm suprised it even said 600MB's. Usually windows doesnt report the size of your video track so all it sees are the extra files and folders which amounts to something around 2.5MB's or so. Anyway, windows typically misreports the size of vcds and svcds. Just go by the size of the mpeg track and add in another 5MB's or so of overhead, that's roughly the total size of your disk.
