  1. I am trying to convert a 23fps divx to PAL SVCD.

If I use the guide here (http://www.vcdhelp.com/tmpgencsvcd.htm) it says the first step is to choose NTSC Film if the video source is 23.976fps, which the source is.

But when selected in tmpgenc it says as clearly shown in the guide that that will create a 480x480 svcd at 29frames

The specs however on this site clearly state that a pal svcd should be 480x576 and since my tv is pal what should I do?

If I select ntsc film I couldn't find a way to output to 480x576. If I read tmpgenc correct selecting ntsc film simply means you get 480x480.

If I select PAL I am not following the guide since my source IS 23,976 fps and not 25.

Am I missing something here? Before asking here I tried both ways for a short clip but both seem to vertically stretch the image (full screen - keep aspect ratio is selected and the source ofcourse has good aspect)

  3. Thanks,

Will try that. So after that I can select PAL SVCD, will the aspect ratio also be fine then? (seems your solution converts to right framerate).

Forgot to mention source is 640x272 with good aspect ratio on my pc screen.
