  1. when i try to convert 649divx file to mpeg with TMPGEnc there is no sound ,only video is on. when i cut the file in half using virtual dub . i see before i hear . so problem all the way

    why there is no sound when i try to convert it to mpeg?

  2. If you're just starting out, strip the audio out using Vdub, then load the AVI as the video source in TMPGEnc, then load the audio (WAV from Vdub) as the audio source. If you want to split it, which you will want to if your DIVX is 650MB, just select the source range and encode two seperate parts or use TMPGEnc's MPEG Tools and cut it. A good thing to do to make sure you're on track is to use the source range and only do a few minutes, just to make sure the audio and video are the way you want it.
