Hello,
Unfortunately I had my clock rolled back a year on the PC last time I installed TmpgEnc, so now, no matter what, it says the Mpeg-2 Trial Period has expired. I know, I should buy "plus" but I want to try other alternatives.
So here's my question - has anyone rendered an SVCD compliant video in Vegas Video, as in, something ready for Nero? I tried it - set it to Mpeg-2, 480x480, 224k audio... but Nero says no go, and I heard their conversion isn't so hot so I don't really wanna use it.
Or anyone know how I can "reset" my tmpgenc free copy to continue the mpeg-2 trial? If this is illegal, no need to reply, I'm not lookin' to get anything for free... but I legitimately had my PC back in 2001 when I installed it.
I suppose if the two above are both imposible, I will buy Tmpgenc Plus... only $50 or so I suppose.
Thanks for any tips!

Well after looking around a bit I found a solution to my own question. As many I'm sure are aware - Vegas Video 3 fully supports rendering SVCD using the quite nice Main Concept mpeg-2 plug in.
I was using VV2 and purchased the upgrade online about an hour ago. Boy, this sure is the way to go. One less step I have to go through to make an SVCD. Yee haw!!!! -
hi...
i have vv3 and i can burn cds with the same...it can burn VCD, but i never try SVCD, maybe it works, try...
