Let me explain....I live in Costa Rica....I bought a this LG DVD player 5812n is the model number.....I can play Zone 4 movies but cannot play Zone 1... I heard you can punch in codes that allow you to play all zones?

yes u can...
i have a lg 3500e and i found the code (to punch into the remote) on the web site i listed earlier.... also they have quite a good dvd hacks section on this site

my manual also states that my player CANNOT play vcd's - that was hackable too
