I am trying to convert an AVI to SVCD, but I apparently do not have the right audio codec installed. When trying to convert the audio in VDUB, I get the error message:
"The requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format. Check that the sampling rate and channel count of the input match those of the requested format."
Whenever I try to play this avi in Windows Media Player, it tries to download a codec, but fails. In the properties of the file, it says:
Video Codec: Divx Deocder Filter
Audio Codec: Unknown
Is there any way to tell what audio codec I am missing?
Thanks for your help
Manny

I found my answer, it is AC3. Downloaded the NIMO Pack and all is well.
Just had to dig a little further!
