    Hello forum members,

    I am having a major problem trying to convert an XVID media file to avi in Any Video Converter;
every time I convert this media file with Any Video Converter(I have used the free-ware version,as well as,the Pro!!),the audio comes out as if it has slowed down(with low pitch!!) compared to the original audio of the XVID media file!!

I have tried to adjust the AV sync slider to maximum, but it doesn't work!?!

I have Movie Maker 2 that can process many other media files, but I do not know how to enable clip
    joiner feature!?

If anyone has a suggestion regarding these media conversion and/or splitting(also having problems with splitting files for youtube upload;I only have avi splitter classic free-ware that will only accept
    AVI format media files!!

BTW,I have tried another media converter,Total Video Converter, but this program(Pro version!)
would convert around 50 Mb of the 483 Mb XVID media file before calling it quits!!

What exactly is an Xvid media file ?

Usually Xvid encoded video is stored in the AVI container, so what are you really trying to achieve here ?

Step one is to understand your source, so open the file in g-spot or media info and post the results here. Then we know where you are starting from.

Step two is clearly understand what it is you are trying to achieve

Step three is to pick the right tool for the job, which in my experience is not Any Video Converter

    Hello gunslinger,

I have currently stopped using the Any Video Converter since the Allok Video Splitter I recently DLed
can work with Xvid/DivX video directly without having to convert to AVI format first!

I am now using Allok Video Splitter to split the "XviD/DivX"(AVi output) video file;I am still having problems with getting the audio(originally mp3??) synced-up with the respective video segments split by Allok Video
    Splitter!!

I have read in other forums that an Xvid file can be split using VirtualDub program with the audio coming out in sync, but I am not too familiar with that program, and would prefer using the mostly user-friendly
    Allok Video Splitter!

I currently need to find out how to enable the Allok Video Splitter to split the Xvid video file into AVI segments while retaining the original audio in sync with the AVI video segments!!

BTW,here is the Media Info Xvid file info in text format:General

Allok VIdeo Splitter might be userfriendly but I guess it doesn't support mp3 audio and then can't you use it.

Use latest virtualdub or avidemux. Just click on them for user guides for how to split and use them. Or try the latest free SolveigMM AVI Trimmer.
