  1. hello peeps,

I'm converting a divx movie to VCD, i've done a sample and the picture is now a bit pixelated compared to the source, it's a in pal 352x288, the final file size will be about 650mb so i still have a bit more room to play with, how can i improve the pic qual?

    thx

  2. You could increase the bitrate, but then it would'nt be a standard vcd anymore, it would be an xvcd. You would have to check that your standalone player was capable of playing xvcd.

  3. There are several options:
    -Higher motion search (like maximum)
    -Noise reduction filter
    -Soften block noise
    -Longer GOP
-Uniform quantize matrix (like an 8x16 grid)

In TMPGEnc, choose Load and then go into the Templates directory. Choose the file Unlock and click on Ok. That will unlock the options so you can change them.
