I have a mpg movie that is 16:9 and when I play it in Windows Media Player its still 4:3... ugly as hell. Now I want to play it in PowerDVD so i can change to 16:9 but i need to convert it to dat if its posssible.
So what program to use? Does vcdgear work?
Thx!

Why do you need it to .dat? PowerDVD can view the MPG. If you really want to convert it, right click it then click 'Rename' and rename it to 'filename.dat' Easy?

You only need .dat file when you burn on CD-R/W. Ahead Nero Burning ROM and many other software will do the job. Not sure about VCDGear, though.
