I'm not exactly sure which forum this should go under, either burning, writer or dvd, but here's the problem:
I just built a new system with a 32x12x40 Liteon ide burner. Previously, I was using a Matshita 7502 scsi 4x8 cdr with an isa scsi card (new comp doesnt have isa). Using the matshita, my apex600a played all vcds I threw at it, and some svcds (none from nero, but all made with nti cdmaker). With the liteon, I've only had one successful vcd and no svcds, no matter what program. The weird thing is, most of the time the apex will recognize the cd, show the length of it on the lcd, but whe I hit play nothing happens or it plays really blocky and skips. I've tried burning at different speeds, used ezcd, nero, cdrwin, nti cdmaker; only one regular vcd made with nero worked out of all I've tried. All the cds work on the computer though. I've read about trying to update the apex loader firmware, but I'm not sure if it'll fix things. If anyone knows how to fix this or can offer some help, please let me know...thanks.
