  1. i have a question on the pioneer 104. so far it's
been absolutely awesome. had it for a week
and already captured and created 3 dvd movies.
there is one problem though, the dvd's play
in my apex no problem but my pioneer 104
doesn't recognize them when i put them in
the drive? is there something i'm doing
wrong? i'm burning them on generic dvd-r's.
again, they play great on a standalone dvd
player but my pioneer 104 on my pc doesn't
    recognize it. any ideas?

    thanks in advance.

  2. I am having the same issue. I'm pretty sure its the media. I have been burning on the 104 with Princo DVD-Rs and Nero. After the burn, they play fine in both of my Sony stand alones, but the 104 doesn't recognize them. It gives a strange error when I try and access them thru Windows. I will post the error next time I see it. Also, only half of these disks are recognized by the other DVD-ROM I have. Strange that they play in the Sony's fine. I have just ordered a 45 pack of Princo DVD-RWs, so we I will let you know if the 104 will read those after a burn.

  3. i was thinking it's the media also and if it is, then that's just crazy.
the pioneer has no problem writing to it but can't read from it?!?!?!?!
but anyway, i got some DVDPro DVD-R's coming in the mail too.
i'll see if they're recognizable. thanks.
