Any Ulead DVD Workshop users here?

After spending several hours editing the commercials out of the last two episodes of 24 (by using the "cut title" and "mark in/out" functions), and creating menus, I tried several times to make a disc iso image.

Every time, it converts the video and audio just fine. Then it does the menu images just fine. But when it gets to the "compiling menu and navigation data" step, it stops and gives me the error message "failed to convert title 13006:1:12."

This happens whether I try to use 6000kbps or 4000kbps, and whether I keep the menus or delete them.

Oddly, if I try it at 8000kbps, complete with menus, it creates the iso image with no problems! Unfortunately, the image at this bit rate is too big to fit on a disc and I can't use it!

I've asked ulead's tech support about this a few days ago, but they've not replied.

Just on a hunch, I went to the Template Manager and created a new custom template -- 7000Kbps.

    ISO image created flawlessly!

    Or so I thought.....

I went to burn this image to a disc, and after completing 1% of the job, I got another error message:

"Failed to record data to the disc. Error 13007:1:60"

    That's on a DVD-R disc.

I put in a DVD-RW disc and DVD Workshop wrote the ISO image to the disc with no problems (!)....

Can someone tell me what's causing these TWO error messages? And why can DVD Workshop write this image to a DVD-RW but not to a DVD-R?????

Oh, it's NOT the DVD-R disc itself... burned a different iso image to that DVD-R disc with no problem.

    I'm confused.

    Thanks...

As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

Hmmm, this patch must be new. I didn't see it there a week ago. I don't see anything that loks related to my specific problem, but it couldn't hurt. It's downloading as we speak. Thanks!
