Hi All,
I've searched the message board for this problem, and have tried all of the suggestions posted, but I'm still having problems.
I am trying to frameserve a multisegmented AVI captured w/VirtualDub to TMPGENC+ Version 2.53.
I have changed the DirectShow settings in TMPGENC all the way up to 10, but I still get a black screen after the first frame. In fact, it doesn't encode the file at all because the number to the right of progress never moves from 0/xxxxxx.
System: Pent4, 2ghz, 512M Ram, 80gig hard drive, windows XP, VirtualDub 1.49.
Thanks for your help in advance!
P.S. The Captured file is a 2 hour movie that plays w/o any problems in VirtualDub or WindowsMediaPlayer.

If you are using the 2-pass setting, it will stay at 0 until you reach 50% then the video will appear and progress will begin.
Try it again and wait a while to see if the blue bar to the right of WHOLE starts to move. Also see if the ELAPSED TIME & REMAINING TIME change at all. If, after waiting several minutes, nothing changes, you may want to check VirtualDub to see if it is frame serving properly. -
Thanks Circleking.
Letting it run for a couple of hours solved the problem!
