  1. I have a Presario 7970 (athlon 950MHz 512MB ram) with an nVidia GeForce2 MX card. I also have an ATI TV wonder card. when I first installed win XP pro I was able to used the microsoft supplied drivers for the nVidia card and operate the capture card. Those drivers do not include OpenGL suport amongst other things and so I installed the Detonator drivers for XP (Microsoft certified 28.32). Now the capture card freezes the machine when I start the tv app. When I called ATI initially about this in January they said they were aware of the problem and were working on a solution. when I called last week they blamed nVidia for making faulty drivers and that there was no solution from their end. Does anybody know a way around this? Help!!!

  3. Thanks for the info about DScaler . It seems to work really well. The only problem I'm having is getting the correct audio channel. my Ati card outputs to my soundblaster, but so far with DScaler the only audio i'm picking up on any channel is static... Any suggestions?

  4. I've got the ATI TV Wonder VE and Nvidia GeForce II MX. Everyhting is working good.

In Dscaler, I got sound working by going to Hardware>Audio-Mixer Setup. Here's what I use:
    -Use Mixer - checked
    -Mixer - My sound card
    -Destination - Play Control
    -Tuner Line - None
    -Composite - Line-In

    The rest are all 'None.'

UNCHECK "Reset Mixer to Initial Settings on Exit" or it will dump your settings.

  5. I have the same setup- I have a Del P500 with an ATI TV-Wonder PCI and a NVIDA video card. I have had nothing but problems. The quality of the capture sux!!! The voices do not move in synch with the video. I hvae tried every alternative including going to a dual boot and running off of ME> It helped a little- Under xp I had 30% dropped frames and under me I had none. but the audio synch still sucked. So I gave up and decided to upgrade my video card. I just purchased a ATI Radeon 7500 ALL-IN-WONDER.

    Talk to you soon.
