I have downloaded some trailers from Apple website, they are all indicated as .mov and i have combined them together ie. All the Star Wars ones.
I also have some .mpgs i have downloaded, when i try to select these, there is no Copy or Paste option.
Is there a way of combining these .mpgs together.

Quicktime cannot edit mpeg video directly; it can only play it, or export to it if you use the Toast codec.
There always seems to be a rumor that full MPEG-1 functionality is just around the corner, but I bet it won't happen.
You can export to a good codec (motion JPEG A) and rencode later after all your editing. -
Or if you can, use Virtual PC and TMPGEnc to cut and/or join MPEG files
