  1. I have a HP200i. I burned 2 DVD's using the included MyDVD software. They worked great in both my DVD players, A Toshiba SD3750 a new player & Toshiba SD2019 (a three year old DVD player). I wanted advanced editing and authoring options, so I purchased Ulead's DVD Moviefactory, and Ulead's VideoStudio 6.0. When I burn a DVD using either of Ulead's products, neither of my set top DVD players will recognize these DVD's. I called Ulead, they see no reason why it doesn't work.
Does this make sense to anyone? Why would one software make a more compatable DVD? and is there a fix?

You didn't say if you used +RW or +R media

For me, MovieFactory burns images to +RW perfectly.

But when I burn to +R media, my DVD player (Philips 711) doesn't recognize it, even though the HP 200i reads it just fine.

So the burning engine that Moviefactory uses is not doing something right for +R.

The Ulead web site says that it supports HP100i, but says nothing about the 200i, except that it might work for other burners.

They don't know what's wrong either.
