Does anyone have any idea why my sony dv video transferred to pc avi file via premeir and firewire connection is blocky once burned to dvd in 720x480 format??? I figured the dvd would look as good as when I connect my DV camera directly to the tv via rca cables. Not so.. It almost seems the video is stretched from a 320 format to 720 thus creating the blocky look. Thanks for your help

Did you do the DV capture using Premiere? Premiere wants Type 2 DV and you may be supplying Type 1 from another capture utility. You can tell because Premiere will report the wrong frame size and also want to render the video even if you have made no changes.
Second, how does the MPEG2 file look on your computer prior to burning. Is it also blocky?
