  1. I've gone through all the user guides and followed Sefy's to the T.

I used CloanAD's proggie to rip the DVD to an MPEG and it works fine. I used Nero 5.5 to create the VCD.

The problem is the disks will not play in any of my DVD players (I have 3) and all of my players do play VCD's.

I followed Sefy's instructions exactly, and I'm wondering if possibly I need to change some settings?

If anyone could lend a hand, I'd really appreciate it. Thank you!

  2. VCD or SVCD is any of your players compatable? and do they read CDR's? some players are picky on the type of media you use i have had problems with some brands also.

  3. I have played VCD's and SVCD's in all of my DVD players at some point with no problems.

I'm wondering if it's possibly the goofy directory tree that Nero is creating? It seems kind of complex for a VCD.

    Thanks.

  4. jeffrey, the Directory structure Nero creates is standard, but you never mentioned if you played CDR media, are the VCD/SVCD originals ? those you played i mean.
