I recently purged my system and tried to reinstall all my programs twice and for some reason, I keep getting this error (Could'nt find appropriate video codec for VFIP. Did I miss something, or fail to install something? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks in advance!>!>

Are you sure that you really mean 'vfip' ?
I think you meant 'vifp'.
If so you have to install the vfapi reader codec, just klick on 'vifpset.bat' in your dvd2avi directory
