I am trying to burn 2 VOB files I recovered with isobuster.
I am using ifo edit to create a new dvd with the files but everytime I try to open the first VOB with the program it gives me this message
    "Couldn't find any VOB unit"
I can play the file with any player.
I tried to run the file through FixVTS and it didn't change the way ifo edit acts when it tries to open the file.
how can I burn this VOB?

  2. Demultiplex the VOB files and reauthor.

FixVTS requires a complete, working titleset, You have two VOBs, which may or may not be complete. You could try VOB2MPG to see if that can at least get the video/audio out of the VOBs.

If you want to create a DVD from them then you are best to try to extract the audio and video, and author a new DVD from scratch. Trying to rebuild from these two files as-is will only drive you insane.

I joined the 2 files with video redo but i can tell where they join. I need the 2 to play seemlessly as VOB files can.
Will Demultiplexing help me get back to VOB?
I have never DEmuxed any video.

Yes, indirectly. Demultiplexing will give you the elementary video, audio (and maybe subtitle) streams which can be cut (and thus joined seemlessly) and then remultiplexed to a full DVD (vob files and ifo/bup files) with any decent authoring software, probably even with ifoedit.

I use IFOEdit quite often to create a menu-less DVD from demultiplexed files. It works very well for that, although it only accepts .sup files as subtitles.

Which is exactly what you get if you demultiplex vob files.

My VOBs didn't include subtitles. I created my subtitles by converting closed captions.
