I used nero to make a vcd menu and also used VCDEasy, but neither give me the level of control I want over creating the menu. Is there a good program out there that would let me place the icons in other spots... Anyway, if you have any ideas on this, I would appreciate it. ^_^

WinonCD works quite nicely for VCD menus, although it s not exactly easy to use for that purpose.
U can either look at version 3.8 or the version 5.0 Special edition, which is the one that I have been using lately.
You do get more control over the menus and you can specify the navigation much better than in Nero. -
Try the philips vcd 2.0 tool kit, has very good menu functions, though not easy to use

Hi,
I would sugest you to try VCDwizard.
It's also a GUI for VCDimager and also creates cue/bin files - properly like VCDeasy - except it gives you full controll on how you create your menu's.
Take a look at its (free) homepage at labdv, where you also can find screenshots : http://www.labdv.com/vcdwizard/.
I cannot compare VCDwizard with any other (even not with the toolkit of Philips). It's advanched and creates all (compliant) forms of (S)VCD, suitable to play at standalone DVD-players. It's worth a try. -
It may also be helpful for people to be aware of the limitations of VCDs before trying to look for functions in proggies that don't exist.
"Icons" or "buttons" (as in clickable hotspots) can ONLY be used with VCDs on CD-i players. Most people won't have one so this is really a "non-feature".
VCDImager (and hence its GUIs) can make hotspots but again, remember the hardware limitations. VCDImager itself is probably the most comprehensive and powerful S/VCD authoring program in existence and there is little that is possible within the S/VCD standard that you can't make with it. However, there is a learning curve.
With the newer GUIs now, it is much easier to use and appreciate. If you are interested in flexible/powerful VCD authoring, I strongly recommend that you try VCDImager +/- one of the GUIs.
