  1. I want to burn 25 episodes (~ 4.6gb) to a DVD-R 4.7gb disc. I tried using Windows DVD Maker (using Windows 7) but it said I had reached 'Disc Capacity' because it only supported 400 mins - and the menu's weren't the good anyway.

What I really want to be able to do is create a menu where I will be able to create an icon for each individual episode so that when I put it into my computer or DVD player and it loads into VLC or and Media Player, it will come up with the menu and I can choose what episode to watch.

Please reply soon, all help is appreciated

One thread is enough. And this is not any dvd ripping. Moving you.

The source SIZE does not matter. How long is the total runtime for all episodes?

And try convertxtodvd or dvd flick or avstodvd instead. They can make basic menus.

  3. There are 25 episodes which are about 25 minutes each, so a total of about 625 mins. And I don't want basic menus, I want to make a menu where I will be able to individually select an episode.

625 minutes/10 hours on one dvd will look like crap. Make at least two or better three dvds.

Convertxtodvd can make a menu where you select episodes.

    Here is a suggestion.

Make 5 disks of 5 episodes each and have a common menu which has all 25 episodes listed. So you will also need one dummy for each item which links to the menu selections that are NOT on that particular disk. When you select any item that is then not on that disk you get a message "Please play disk X" ie the disk that the actual episode is on.

  6. Haha Yeah. But I have a total of 51 epsiodes + Movie to put onto the DVD's though lol, so I don't want to go making 9 discs or more. I want probs a max of 4, no more than 5, three is bliss.

Is it 25 or 51 ? Do make your mind up. And do not laugh at suggestions. You come for help. Laugh and that help dries up.

But it matters not. Put more than 2 hours of video on one dvd-r 4.7 gig and the content will look like sh*t. You may get away with 4 hours but it will depend on the original content. Now if you can not get that bit around your head then do not say you were not warned.

4 disks in your example is 300+ minutes. Possible, yes. Practical, no. Unless you are not going to make a compliant dvd and use compression such as Divx or Xvid. But then you will run in to menu issues. And if you want to consider that then we will need to know about your player since not all are created equally.

Take a look at Freemake Video Converter. (https://www.videohelp.com/tools/Freemake_Video_Converter)
If the quality of the output doesn't matter, then Freemake will author "up to 40 hours!"
I use the software for conversions, but it has a very basic authoring function.
