    Some newer divx movies state they need SMR codec. I have downloaded several smr codecs but none seem to work. Movie is blank and no sound.
    Does anyone know anything about SMR?

    I'm with you on this one Greg ...
    I got the same problem (no video / no sound)
    and i've tried the SMRcodec install 4 times now


    Did you ever get an answer?

    The files could be fakes. I have found a lot of files with (smr) in the name but when I play them I get nothing. If ya didn't get it from an smr source then you are taking your chances on what you are downloading.
