My goal is to get these into DNxHD so I can import them into DaVinci Resolve with no quality loss and the smoothest motion possible. I have AviSynth, Vapoursynth, Hybrid, FFMPEG, QTGMC and VirtualDub2 installed, but I'm lost as to where to go from here. I'm guessing each camera's files are different enough that I will need different scripts for each. I'm willing to listen and learn if someone could point me in the right direction.Code:General ID : 0 (0x0) Complete name : C:\Users\User\Videos\camcorder\dump4\00022.MTS Format : BDAV Format/Info : Blu-ray Video File size : 15.9 MiB Duration : 6 s 19 ms Overall bit rate mode : Variable Overall bit rate : 22.2 Mb/s Maximum Overall bit rate : 24.0 Mb/s Frame rate : 29.970 FPS Recorded date : 2023-11-26 10:31:16 UTC Writing application : JVC Video ID : 4113 (0x1011) Menu ID : 1 (0x1) Format : AVC Format/Info : Advanced Video Codec Format profile : High@L4 Format settings : 2 Ref Frames Format settings, CABAC : No Format settings, Reference frames : 2 frames Format settings, GOP : M=2, N=14 Codec ID : 27 Duration : 6 s 39 ms Bit rate mode : Variable Bit rate : 21.0 Mb/s Maximum bit rate : 22.6 Mb/s Width : 1 920 pixels Height : 1 080 pixels Display aspect ratio : 16:9 Frame rate : 29.970 (30000/1001) FPS Color space : YUV Chroma subsampling : 4:2:0 Bit depth : 8 bits Scan type : Interlaced Scan type, store method : Separated fields Scan order : Top Field First Bits/(Pixel*Frame) : 0.339 Stream size : 15.1 MiB (95%) Audio ID : 4352 (0x1100) Menu ID : 1 (0x1) Format : AC-3 Format/Info : Audio Coding 3 Commercial name : Dolby Digital Codec ID : 129 Duration : 6 s 80 ms Bit rate mode : Constant Bit rate : 256 kb/s Channel(s) : 2 channels Channel layout : L R Sampling rate : 48.0 kHz Frame rate : 31.250 FPS (1536 SPF) Compression mode : Lossy Delay relative to video : -34 ms Stream size : 190 KiB (1%) Service kind : Complete Main Dialog Normalization : -31 dB compr : -0.28 dB dialnorm_Average : -31 dB dialnorm_Minimum : -31 dB dialnorm_Maximum : -31 dB Text ID : 4608 (0x1200) Menu ID : 1 (0x1) Format : PGS Codec ID : 144 Duration : 5 s 574 ms Delay relative to video : -34 ms
edit: I know I will need to deinterlace footage from cameras 1 and 3. Ideally I'd like to end up with 59.94fps (or 60, as the case may be) files. I know that's asking for a lot from camera 2 though (15fps), in that case I'm guessing I'll actually need to drop down to something like 10fps to make it a little easier to look at. Something about the way 15fps handles motion feels almost like being seasick to me, not something I encountered on my old Lumix that shot at 10fps.
