I converted a divx movie to mpeg using TMPEGenc. Now, when i try to open it with Ulead DVD MovieFactory, i get error message that says:blabla.mpg is not MPEG compilant file.

I tried to demux and multiplex again with TMPEGenc but i still get an error msg.
    How to make it complilant?

  2. Did you use a VCD or SVCD template. If you don't have the resolution and bitrate set for VCD or SVCD the resultant mpeg will be non compliant, ie XVCD or XSVCD, which your DVD player may still be able to play (check the DVD compatability list). If it's a divx you may also need to decompress the audio stream. This can be done using virtualdub.

  3. as of now, i believe Ulead only accepts VCD 2.0 .mpg files...however, it can accept any type of SVCD (i think)

thus, if you made a VCD, make sure it's VCD 2.0 standards:

    Video:
    1150 kbit/sec MPEG-1
    352 x 240 pixels
    29,97 frames/second
    23,976 frames/second NTSC Film

    Audio:
    224 kbit/sec MPEG-1 Layer2
