I'm using the software and Hauppauge USB-Live2 Analog Video Digitizer. It seemed to be working OK yesterday as it captured an hour file at around 4gb. Today it looked normal as I casually sat through 1.5 hours of capturing a vhs tape but when finished the only video remaining had cut off at 10 minutes. No warning or error. Any ideas as to what happening? Thanks Image

Just found out it seems to be related to the recording time counter (showing as 00:00:00) in screen shots. Directions say it's optional to set that but it seems to be what's causing the problem. I'm just setting it to a high number now. I notice every time I hit "stop" it goes back to zero so I'll have to be careful. If that's how it will always be it will be an inconvenience as I sometimes stop and start recording many times on old tapes getting the start time and other things correct.

Several hours later...I thought I was nearing a solution but have just spent 1:15:00 and even though it's set to record for 3 hours has only captured (maybe, since they're temp files) four10 minute files. I'm also now looking at the folder as it captures and it seems that some files are simply vanishing. The screen shot on the right is the current state as it captures and file 05 is now missing. Phew!Image

It's like as it makes new temp files it discards the earlier ones. Not in the recycle bin.

I got a question from Hauppage asking if I was saving captures to the default folder in the C drive. I was saving to another partiton on the main drive but not the C. I uninstalled and reinstalled this way and so far it's working so keeping my fingers crossed.

I'll keep that in mind. The main reason I was using this software was it had options to capture in PAL60 which I needed for NTSC tapes through a PAL VCR. Thanks.
