  1. Hi all,

My first post so please be kind.
I have been encoding for a while using TMPGenc.

What are you all using to encode avi's that use the new Divx5.01 since TMPGenc doesn't support it.

Suggestions??? Preferably a tool that won't break the bank when trying to get a copy.

    Thanks!

  2. Got my reply while searching the TMPGenc site.
It seems the non support of Divx5 is a myth...
I downloaded the codec as well as DirectX 8.1 as it states in the article and just encoded the anime that was giving me problems...
    Looks great!

The article can be found on http://www.tmpgenc.net/e_main.html
Search using the key words: divx5 myth
The article was written by Ashy and is about halfway down the page.

    Hope this helps someone else.
