  1. I have a Bush DVHRS02 which I used to use to copy VHS tapes to DVD's, which worked fine - then I ran out of DVDs so bought new ones - but they would not work, got the 'there is no input' message.

I tried some DVD+R R/W and the machine copied the film over - but the machine could not finalise the disk - I had to shut it down, and restart it - same 'There is no input' message.

I checked the disk - it had been written on - so put it in my computer - it could not 'see' the file - says all capacity is ready to be copied on.

How can I copy my VHS tapes onto DVD's?

"Finalization" is almost always the first to fail on DVD Recorders.
If you have some spare money lying around....you may want to try ISOBuster on those unfinalized discs.
No guarantees though....it has worked for some people.

The disc cannot be finalized outside of the machine......the machine is broken.
What you are after is the MPEG2 video from the disc. If it(ISOBuster) gives you MPEG2 video from the DVD.....YOU WIN.
Your VHS tape is now digitized. Congratulations.

  5. I'm supprised the machine is broken, it's hardly been used, but I suppose old age killed it.

The problem is I have lots of vhs tapes - that no dvd's are available for, so I need to copy them - and better only once.
