I've been experimenting with lots of different settings for capturing Tv Episodes From VHS to Divx format for archiving purposes/smaller storage space.

My goal was to get 2x 42min Long Buffy The Vampire Slayer Episodes onto a 700mb cd with the best quality possible.

My Capture Card - Wintv Go using the latest win2k driver from the Manufacturers site.

7 Capture Menu/Settings 25,0000FPS (PAL), Lock video stream to audio, capture audio.
9 Capture Video
10 When Finished close & Restart Vdub
11 Video Menu/ Direct Stream Copy
12 Audio Menu/ Full Processing
13 Audio Menu/ Compression, 48KBPS 22,050 ( the sound is very good)
14 Save As Avi
DONE

Finished result 2 x 350 mb divx files to fit on 1 700mb cd in very good svcd like quality.
