Okay, I just got the AIW Radeon and I already know I'm an idiot, but what fundamental stuff am I missing here?
I have a dual PIII-733 on an Abit VP6 with 512MB of RAM. Nothing overclocked. Soundblaster Live Value. Windows 2000 with SR 2. Ultra-DMA settings are on for all drives.
Windows is calling the capture driver a Rage Theater. Shouldn't it appear as Radeon?
I don't have cable TV hooked up to the AIW... I just want to use it as a cheap video capture device. Well, I can connect to the S-Video connection and I see video, but no matter what settings I use, I cannot capture MPEG-2... I push the REC button, it stays lit for about two seconds, then shuts off with no recorded video. Using MMC 7.1
I try capturing from AVI from VirtualDub (which I want to do anyway) but all I can capture is 320x240 UYVY. Anything else gives me an unsupported format error, and nothing else even appears as an option under Video>Format. I want to capture using HuffyUV at 640x480.
HELP! I feel like I'm hitting a brick wall at square one!
