    I have made a VCD, and found that the pictures are soft. I captured the DV to AVI and then convert it by tmpgenc to mpeg1. What can i do to sharpen the images in the video?

    In TMPGEnc, Advanced try using the 'Sharpen Edge' option this can make thing a bit lcearer. I preferably use VirtualDub and the Sharpen filter which I think does a better job. Either of these should work.
