tmpg avi to svcd gives black screen????

What to do? I used tmpg to convert an avi to svcd and there is audio but no video. Origional avi had both. I think i changed the frame rate to fit to the cd, is that the problem?? Thanks

ok tried a smaller one without changing, what else would cause black screen???

Try frameserving with virtualdub, maybe the video is not recognized by tmpgenc

Go to environmenatl settings and then go the Vfapi section. You have to give a higher priority to the directshow filters... (I recoment 2)

then after that, decoding Divx5 is not a problem... except it seems slower to decode than divx3 or 4, but it may be one of the settings I changed or something.
