I use a crt monitor and mpc-be with madvr & lav filters. When I see interlaced video with heavy combing, I use madvr film mode deinterlacer, and that plays the video properly. Then other video files I have, it will also be interlaced but with very little combing, and if I enable any deinterlacer in madvr, or lav filter settings the video will not deinterlace at all. Then I tested the same video file with vlc, and enabled the deinterlacer and that plays the video properly. Why is mpc-be not deinterlacing the video properly like vlc? It is very confusing and making me very frustrated... lol.
