  1. My player (Pioneer DV-F727 Changer) displays the title for the DVD or CD that is being played. For newer CDs and DVDs, it reads it off the CD, for older ones I have to enter it.

Anyhow, is it CD-TEXT that is used to hold the title information that is displayed? Is there a way to set that when using Nero 5.5? I think I saw it in CDRWIN, but then I'd have to find another tool to make the VCD image from the MPEG file.

    Any advice? Thanks!

  2. It may be possible that the player read the ISO 9660 volume ID as the title. this the same as what is display in My computer underneath a drive icon. Prog that can edit this R VCDimager, Nero 5.x, and EZCD, & probly others. Try that on a CD-RW and see what results u get

  3. I tried that before and I don't believe it is reading the volume name. I just looked in the manual for the player and it says it gets the disc title and some other info using CD TEXT.

  4. I was thinking that would have to be it because DVD's dont use iso9660...Nero has cd text available but I think only for CD-audio tracks
