  1. Hi,

I'm currently in the process of editing a video, so that I can place some new text over the original text. Does anyone know how I would go about doing this?

    Thanks

What are you editing with ? Most editors have a title or text overlay function.

You have two basic options. You can attempt to remove the original text using one of the delogo filters for virtualdub. Most likely you will end up with a blurred area on your image which you can then put the new text over. Or you can put a black box over the original text, with the next text on top of this.

However without knowing what tools you are using it is impossible to give you anything specific.

  3. Ah, silly me... I'm using Pinnacle 8. There is a title option but I can't seem to work out how to add the text into the video. I don't mind putting a black box over the text to be honest

    Thanks

http://www2.gol.com/users/spee/Studio/titles.htm is very sparse but hints that the overlay option is what you need to use. The rest you will have to read the help files or manual for.
