hello,
If I capture using my Pinnacle Studio PCTV card/W98SE, above 352 x 240, I start getting images with jagged (I do not know how to put it, maybe distorted edges) moving objects. In fact, the edges of moving object are not smooth but sort of made of many fine lines.
Can anybody help.
Regards,
Roht

That is interlacing. You need to use a deinterlace filer in something like Vdub to remove it.
There is a good explination of interlacing at lukes video, just do a search.

Thank you very much. Yes, it is in fact interlacing. I read Luke's articles as mentioned by you and now I know what it is. These jagged lines had been bothering me for many weeks and I had not really started to make VCDs as I did not know how to go around this problem.
Now it's clear.
Thanks once again.
Regards,
Rohit
