  1. Hi,
I am trying to use LAME with Tmpgenc by putting it in the external tools in enviromental settings. When I click start to begin the encode about a minute or two after i click a box comes up saying -
external encoder lame.exe was not properly run.-
does anybody know what i can do?
it might be something with the way i set up lame and the .exe file where it should be. I don't know.
    Thanks

It shouldn't have anything to do with how you set up lame...as long as you point TMPG toward where the .exe file is. it sounds like it is starting the audio encode--there should be a message at the bottom left saying, "creating temporal wave" or something like that--this means it has started the process, and TMPG is finding lame just fine. what type of audio is your source? if you haven't already done this, I would probably try to extract a wav with VirtualDub, and use that as the audio source...sometimes .mp3 audio gives problems with TMPG/lame.
if that doesn't work, maybe try besweet/gui
